All doctors have done extensive study into the mechanism of disease that affect the eye and their diagnosis and treatment. The Service is open five days a week and accepts major medical insurance and vision insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid. We also provide an urgent care phone number that is accessible 24 hours a day.

Dr Paul D.Hayes

Dr. Hayes is the founder of the Contact Lens Institute. He has over 30 years of experience as an Optometrist. He specializes in contact lenses and ocular disease as well as contact lens research and design. He is one of the premier contact lens specialists in the Eastern United States. He has performed ground breaking research in contact lens design and has lectured throughout the United States on contact lenses, ocular disease and practice management.

Dr. Hayes has a particular interest in utilizing highly specialized contact lenses for patients with keratoconus, failed refractive surgery, corneal scarring and corneal grafts. With only a few doctors specializing in this difficult field, many patients travel extensive distances to be evaluated and treated by Dr. Hayes.

Dr. Doris Chin

Dr Chin will provide you and your family with a personal and thorough eye exam with emphasis on understanding and meeting your individual needs. She is committed to giving patients the highest quality of vision and medical eye care in a fun, friendly, and comfortable atmosphere for all ages.

Dr. Chin enjoys sports, hiking with her australian shepherd, Rowdy, and supporting her beloved Carolina Tarheels. She also has pet turtles and runs a turtle/tortoise website.

Dr. Robert J. Foster

CLI Welcomes Dr. Foster to the Practice.  He is a recent graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.  He has been featured by the American Optometric Association for his work in Optometry while a student. Dr. Foster grew up in Warren County, but went to High School at Millbrook here in Raleigh where he played basketball for the Wildcats. He has had several accomplishments outside of Optometry and is a valuable part of CLI. Dr. Foster is interested in Sports Vision, Vision Therapy, Diabetes, Hypertension and Glaucoma.

Dr. Foster is welcoming new patients to the practice.
